By now, I had hoped to have some news for you about my first physiotherapy session and even about the progress, which the therapists thought that I might be able to make.
When I attended the appointment, as requested, on August 8th, I discovered that my GP (family doctor) seems to have misunderstood what I had asked for. Instead of being referred to a qualified physiotherapist, I had in fact been assigned to a fitness adviser who is not a physiotherapist and who makes no claim to be one.
After a detailed and lengthy consultation, it became clear that physiotherapy is, in fact, what I need. With this in mind, my GP has been happy to make a new referral for physiotherapy. Although I was a little disappointed to find that I could not start my physiotherapy immediately, I am sure that I will benefit from it a great deal once it finally gets started.
